S.A.F.E Operatives contracts mainly ex government law enforcement and security specialist, we prefer to utilise ex police, customs, defence force, sheriffs, prison officers, P.S.Os and highly experienced specialists.

Vision
During the last 20 years of working with clients in Australia, it has become increasingly clear that strong ethical foundations are critical to high performing cultures and good decision making, at all levels of our organisation. The security industry has suffered with the incoming of contractors that threaten our ability to offer protection, because of price.
With the outbreak of COVID-19, the corporate world is facing unprecedented levels of uncertainty and challenge. As a security provider, ethical decision making, leadership development and security services strategies, can offer organisations and their leaders the critical support needed to navigate the security needs of companies, using S.A.F.E. Operatives.

Founder
Mr Gael Antoine Souroop, Founder of S.A.F.E Operatives, started the business with a vision of sharing his knowledge and experience with his team and implementing his insights with clients for their peace of mind and security.
Gael’s experience showed him that the security industry needed a new way of providing services from just the standard guarding. At S.A.F.E Operatives, we offer two tiers of security – Operatives and Guards. Gael’s team of Operatives are specifically recruited from ex-law enforcement or specialist security roles for their level of training and expertise in volatile or high-risk situations. Security Guards supplied by S.A.F.E Operatives are trained by people with operative experience so that all our clients receive a high level of care and attention to detail. Our Guards can be deployed in a variety of roles to help support a client’s operation.
Gael has been involved in the security industry for over 20 years, in varying roles from asset protection, patrols and corporate clients to loss prevention. Gael also served in Corrections Victoria for 15 years, fulfilling a range of roles in both IT and Security Services.
Some of Gael’s relevant achievements include:
- Serving on the prison security and emergency management committee
- Upgrade advisor to the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre for their control room and gatehouse project.
- Holding the position of Senior IT Coordinator for Corrections Victoria, gaining valuable experience in Biometrics, Iris recognition, Access control, Key management, and Control Room systems.
- Qualified Trainer and Assessor(Cert. IV).
- Serving as both a WHS and Industrial Representative.
- Diploma in Justice(Vic), Dip.Government Security, Dip. Security and Risk Management.
- Certificate in Counterterrorism from Georgetown University.
- Awarded the Corrections Victoria Service Medal and the National Service Medal.
Gael’s time in Corrections led him to secondment with the Corrections Victoria Intelligence Section(SESG), which included liaising with stakeholders such as Victoria Police, VicRoads and interstate intelligence services.
In all, Gael’s time and experience at Corrections Victoria provided a breadth of experience that Gael brings to his customers:
- Security Access, IT and Control Systems
- Managing dynamic and high-risk incidents
- Managing conflict and negotiating with people
- Emergency response and coordination
- Asset Protection with a human element
All this combines into S.A.F.E Operatives focus being education, training and experience to develop a team capable of protecting even the most high-profile of clients.
